Sriman Venu Gayak Das is the Temple President of ISKCON Bhavnagar and a dedicated, dynamic preacher of Krishna consciousness. He has dedicated his life to serving the mission of his spiritual master, His Holiness Srila Radha Govind Goswami Maharaj, and ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya, Srila Prabhupada.

Early Life and Spiritual Roots

Born as Vipul on June 15, 1983, Sriman Venu Gayak Das grew up in Dharai, a village in the Amreli district of Gujarat. This village is renowned for its ancient and beautiful Balmukund Temple. Being raised in such a spiritually vibrant environment, he was blessed with a natural devotion and deep spiritual inclination from a very young age.

A Life Dedicated to Service

In 2006, seeking to deepen his spiritual purpose, he joined the ISKCON temple in Mira Road as a brahmachari (celibate monk). There, he immersed himself in the study of Vedic scriptures and the practice of devotional service.

His life was profoundly transformed when he met his spiritual master, Srila Radha Govind Goswami Maharaj. On January 10, 2008, he was formally initiated and given the spiritual name Venu Gayak Das.

The Call to Serve Bhavnagar

Sriman Venu Gayak Das’s profound faith and unwavering obedience to his spiritual master (Guru Nishtha) became immediately evident. Just after his initiation, his Guru Maharaj instructed him to go and preach the message of Lord Krishna in his mother tongue, Gujarati.

Accepting this order as his life and soul, he left for his new assignment without hesitation. Just one week later, on January 17, 2008, he arrived in Bhavnagar to begin his service, and he has been tirelessly serving the community here ever since.

His Preaching and Mission

As the Temple President, Sriman Venu Gayak Das guides the spiritual and administrative activities of ISKCON Bhavnagar. He is a powerful and beloved preacher of Srimad Bhagavatam.

He is particularly known for his unique ability to present the deep philosophies of the scriptures in a simple, clear, and engaging manner. This special talent allows people from all walks to easily understand the teachings and joyfully embrace Krishna Consciousness.

While firmly rooted in his service at Bhavnagar, he also travels around the world to share the timeless message of Srimad Bhagavatam.

His singular mission is to serve the desires of his Guru Maharaj, Srila Prabhupada, and all the Vaishnavas. This devotion is the driving force behind the new temple project in Bhavnagar, which he views as a direct offering to his spiritual master.
